Nelson, President and founder of Capital Insurance Services, worked as an insurance producer for more than 40 years. Early in his career he earned the life insurance producer of the year award. Nelson focused on professional liability and large commercial accounts. In recent years, his favorite activity was spending time with his grandchildren. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating, and golf. He was also a dedicated Michigan State Spartan fan.
